Christian Feldermann, Projects DirectorWhat is your role within the company? My key responsibilities include overseeing all project management activities and translation quality. Managing and directing the quality manager, in-house translators, designers and the project managers. Accurate planning is essential in order to co-ordinate all the various process steps with the translation process. We work with strict selection procedures for all translation suppliers to ensure that they have the knowledge, expertise and professionalism required for the successful delivery of complex projects. I have personally managed the incorporation of the latest technologies and software to achieve optimum operational efficiencies. To do this I make good use of my language skills, being fluent in German, English, Catalan and Spanish. Achievements: Taking our vision of a tailored, highly professional, all inclusive translation service and turning it into reality. Key qualities: Patience, attention to detail, determination.

Fiona McCrae, Sales & Marketing DirectorWhat is your role within the company? I have responsibility for all commercial activities. This means making sure McFelder delivers exactly what our customers are looking for. A key part of my role is to engage with clients to discuss their projects, obtain feedback from previous assignments and most importantly to listen to their future translation requirements. My responsibilities also focus on developing McFelder as a professional company, so I look after market analysis, development of sales strategies as well as marketing communications. Another aspect of my work is managing and directing our team’s quality manager, administrator and the business development managers. Achievements: Establishing and developing McFelder Translations so it can deliver the high quality translation service our customers rely on. At the same time, I’ve been adding Spanish to my own language skills. Key qualities: Tenacity, perseverance, sense of humour.
