TM tools are used in order to maintain consistency and provide our customers with the most cost effective solution. TM assists the translators, the customer and the translation agency. TM tools are used throughout the industry and are not machine tools.
What are the benefits?
Our customers benefit in a number of ways by our ability to apply the latest Translation Memory technology to a translation project. McFelder Translations creates a Translation Memory as part of the translation assignment. A Translation Memory is a linguistic database that contains the original source text as well as the translated text in form of language pairs, or translation units. It is created by continually capturing these language pairs while the translator translates a text. All previous translations are accumulated within the TM and reused so that you never have to translate the same sentence twice. The larger your TM, the faster subsequent translations will be processed by reusing already available translation units.
